Eftichia, a beloved café in the heart of Petralona, Athens, is more than just a place to enjoy coffee and ice cream, it’s a destination that embodies the true meaning of Eftichia (Greek for "happiness"). For the owners, happiness is found in the simple joys of life, especially when shared with others over a delicious cup of coffee or a creamy scoop of ice cream. Our mission was to capture this sense of joy and togetherness through the café’s brand identity, creating a design that feels both whimsical and inviting, just like the café itself.
To bring Eftichia’s joyful and playful atmosphere to life, we focused on a brand identity that feels light-hearted and full of warmth. The custom lettering logo was designed to be friendly and approachable, with soft, rounded forms that evoke feelings of comfort and happiness. This bespoke typography not only reflects the cheerful vibe of the café but also adds a personal touch, making the logo feel unique and connected to the owners’ vision.
The color palette of light pink and blue was carefully chosen to create a warm and inviting space. Pink symbolizes warmth, joy, and friendship, while blue adds a touch of calm and serenity. Together, these colors evoke a sense of happiness, perfect for a café where people come to relax, indulge, and enjoy life’s little pleasures. To further convey the theme of happiness, we incorporated joyous illustrations that embody the spirit of the café. These fun, playful illustrations feature elements like coffee cups, ice cream cones, and other symbols of joy, making them a fun complement to the overall design. The illustrations are used across various touchpoints, from menus to promotional materials, infusing the brand with energy and charm. The animations were made by our beloved friends at OddBleat.
